PolyMet Water Permit Appeal Will Be Heard By State Supreme Court

MINNESOTA — The Minnesota Supreme Court will hear the appeal for PolyMet’s water permit.
The high court of the state will review the Minnesota Court of Appeals decision on the case that it made back in January.
Environmental advocates and the Fond du Lac Band Of Lake Superior Chippewa petitioned the state Supreme Court to review it.
They say their concern is that state appeals court did not give a “legal recourse,” or attempt to remedy, the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency’s choice to not let the EPA’s written comments go into the public record when the entire mine permit process was being reviewed.
A date hasn’t been set for the hearing.
