The Salvation Army Is Back To Serving Lunches In Person
DULUTH, Minn.–The Salvation Army of Duluth is bringing back it’s hot lunches served in-person.
For the past two years, the hot lunch program has only had to-go options due to the pandemic. Monday was the first day the organization re-opened it’s indoor dining for the program. The Salvation Army services center in West Duluth says all are welcome.
The Director of Development, Cyndi Frick said, “I mean especially with the closing of our store, it used to be a gathering place and it’s really great that we can open it up and provide that space here. People used to enjoy that part of it and being able to provide a hot meal to people in need is something that we really take pride in”.
Monday they served sandwiches, chips, several fruit options, and baked beans.
The meals change depending on the day, and are served Monday through Friday from 11:30 A.M-12:30 P.M.
