Minnesota Power Sending Crews To Florida In Hurricane Ian Response
Crews could be gone for up to 2 weeks.
DULUTH, Minn. — Minnesota Power is sending two dozen line-workers, supervisors, and mechanics to Florida to help in any way they can from Hurricane Ian’s wrath.
They will be focusing on the Jacksonville area as that is where damage is predicted.
The manager of line operations said in a press release, ““We’re always willing to lend a hand when we can after other electric companies get hit by a storm of this magnitude. With quiet weather expected here over the next two weeks, we have the resources to help out in Florida while maintaining our ability to respond to outages should they occur.”
Crews are expected to be there for up to 2 weeks.
