UMD’s Jares Named NSIC Offensive Player of the Week
Scored three goals in two games for Bulldogs
DULUTH, Minn.- UMD’s Jackie Jares has had a strong senior season for the Bulldogs, and she’s earning some recognition with the regular season winding down.
Jares has been named the NSIC Offensive Player of the Week after scoring three goals in a pair of home games for the Bulldogs. She scored both goals in UMD’s 2-1 Friday win over Southwest Minnesota State before scoring in the first minute of Sunday’s match against the University of Sioux Falls.
Jares leads the Bulldogs with 20 points, including eight goals. She and her teammates are on the road this Thursday when they face Winona State. UMD will close out the regular season on Thursday, November 2 against Bemidji State.
