UMD Volleyball Seeking Consistency Heading Into Final Homestand

UMD will have their final homestand beginning on Thursday when they take on Southwest Minnesota State.

DULUTH, Minn.- The UMD volleyball team is back on track after sweeping Winona State last Wednesday.

Now, they’re preparing for the final regular season stretch before the postseason.

With only four regular season games remaining, UMD will have their final homestand beginning on Thursday when they take on Southwest Minnesota State.

The Mustangs would get the best of the Bulldogs on their home floor back in early October, winning in four sets.

Head Coach Jim Boos says the focus is consistency as the regular season winds down.

“We’re in a position where our ground is still shaky. We’re talented enough to be in the regional conversation and in that picture. But we’re also not winning enough to be out of making the conference playoffs if we don’t take care of a few more wins. We find ourselves in a precurious spot and home has not been kind to us so far. We’ve just not played our best volleyball at home. That’s the biggest message we’re trying to get across here is let’s get this thing turned around and let’s take care of business on our home floor,” said Boos.

Gametime between the Mustangs and Bulldogs is set for 6 PM on Thursday.
