Mirage Seniors Graves & Fairchild Officially Sign with Bemidji State

Both players are coming off monster seasons for the Mirage.

HERMANTOWN, Minn.- It was signing day for a number of area athletes on Wednesday.

That included a senior duo on the Proctor/Hermantown girls hockey team.

Hannah Graves and Izy Fairchild both signed their letters of intent with Bemidji State Wednesday afternoon.

Both players are coming off monster seasons for the Mirage.

Graves would tally 35 total points and Fairchild would have 27.

Each expressed their excitement for the next chapter of their hockey careers.

“The sizing of the school. It wasn’t too big but it wasn’t too small. It was that perfect fit and the team was very welcoming. When I came to visit, they were very welcoming and it was a great community overall,” said Graves.

“Kind of just the future of playing at the next level and meeting new people and having a whole future ahead of us,” added Fairchild.

Graves and Fairchild’s first game of the season will be Friday at Warroad.
