State Volleyball: Grand Rapids & Ely Bounce Back with Consolation Semifinal Wins

Grand Rapids will next face Monticello on Saturday at 8:30 AM for 5th place. Ely matches up with West Central Area School. That game takes place at 10:30 AM

ST. PAUL, Minn.- Both the Grand Rapids and Ely volleyball teams will compete for a consolation championship on Saturday.

The Thunderhawks made that possible when they defeated DeLaSalle 3-1 in the AAA consolation semifinals on Friday.

Ely also was able to get it done, topping Badger/Greenbush-Middle River in four sets in the A consolation semifinals.
