Two Injured in Two-Vehicle Accident in Itasca County

SWAN LAKE, Minn. – A man and woman are recovering from injuries after they were involved in a two-vehicle accident in Itasca County Saturday night.

The Minnesota State Patrol says it took place just after 11 p.m. in Swan Lake at the intersection of Highway 2 and Highway 65.

A Chevrolet Equinox traveling northbound on Highway 65 collided with a Cadillac traveling westbound on Highway 2.

The two people inside the Cadillac, a 48-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman, both from Grand Forks, North Dakota, were taken to Grand Itasca in Grand Rapids for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Chevrolet, a 55-year-old Goodland, Minnesota man, was not injured.

The State Patrol adds everyone was wearing a seatbelt, with alcohol and road conditions not considered factors in what cause the accident.
