ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Minn. — A single vehicle accident has left one teen dead and another in critical condition.

The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office says on Wednesday just before 7 p.m. responders and law enforcement reported to a crash near Orr. Authorities say the vehicle was traveling westbound on Nett Lake Road and had gone off the road, flipped, and struck a tree.

The vehicle was being driven by 17-year-old Travon Raymond Boshey of Tower with 17-year-old Matthew Gerald Goggleye of Nett Lake as the passenger.

Boshey was pronounced dead on scene and Goggleye was brought to a hospital in Duluth in critical condition.

The Sheriff’s Office says the vehicle was driving at a high rate of speed prior to the crash and that both of the teens were wearing seatbelts.
