Apricot Lane Relocates and Opens Larger Store

DULUTH, Minn. — Apricot Lane Boutique is a franchise with dozens of stores around the country, but Duluth’s own Apricot Lane is one of a kind.

“I hand pick, along with our team all of the merchandise that comes into our store. So, we’re able to change things up really fast, if something doesn’t work for us, we can try new brands, we can buy new things,” said Wendy Myers, Apricot Lane Owner.

Apricot Lane recently closed its doors for a couple months, to prepare a transition into a new location.

After residing in the Miller Hill Mall, the new and larger store sits on, 629 W Central Entrance.

“It’s bigger than our last locations, we have more room, more space, more inventory. We’re super excited to have everyone come in and see our new location,” said Myers.

Owner Wendy Myers says customers have remained loyal during the temporary closing and have even sent out kind messages.

“We’re so appreciative of all our customers, all of the support when we’ve been closed, all of the encouraging messages, the thank you’s, the congratulations. They’re excited just as much as we’re excited to show them this new space,” said Myers.

Myers has lots of experience in the fashion world and wanted Apricot Lane to be a store full of premium brands and the latest trends.

“I think a lot of women especially my age, wanted clothing that fit that aesthetic but was more gaged towards them,” said Myers.

Clothing items range from jackets, dresses, shoes and more.

Apricot Lane orders around six of each item months to a year ahead of time, making for a one-of-a-kind shopping experience.

“We can carry unique apparel that nobody else has, we are exclusive in a lot of brands that nobody else can carry, and a lot of those brands you can’t get anywhere around here. And we buy in small quantities so there’s only six pieces, so you’re not going to see everybody in that item around town,” said Myers.

Besides clothing items, Apricot Lane is the only store in the area that has Pandora jewelry on site.

After a soft opening, the new location is officially up and running and awaiting customers.
