Chlorine Gas Issue Forces Proctor Hotel Evacuation
PROCTOR, Minn. — A chlorine gas issue forced an evacuation of a hotel in Proctor Wednesday.
The incident happened around 11 a.m. at the AmericInn at 185 Highway 2.
The Proctor and Duluth fire departments responded.
Officials said the gas was caused by an apparent mixing of cleaning chemicals in a drain, which created a chlorine gas.
Pressure fans were brought in to ventilate the hotel.
Nobody was injured.
