DECC Getting Ready For Duluth Winter Village

DULUTH, Minn. — Thursday, organizers are preparing to turn Harbor Drive into the Duluth Winter Village.

The event takes place this Saturday and Sunday and will look like a German Christmas market. With 25 cabins decorated by local vendors, bonfires, music, festive beverages, llamas, and more.

New this year is a children’s shopping adventure where for a flat fee kids can go into a tiny shop and select a gift for their parents. Those gifts will then be wrapped, ready for Christmas.

The Duluth Winter Village has been a hit for finding all of your holiday needs.

“It’s a great way for people to get Christmas shopping done, holiday shopping done and support our local economy,” said Lucie Amundsen, DECC Communications Director.

If you’re wondering why Lucie’s holding a chicken it is for “Hug a Holiday Hen” a fun picture taking opportunity. Again, the Duluth Winter Village will take place Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. outside the DECC on Harbor Drive.
