Suspects Arrested in Eveleth Kidnapping and Assault Case

EVELETH, Minn. — Two men have been arrested in connection with a kidnapping and assault that took place over multiple days in Eveleth. Both have been booked into the St. Louis County Jail in Duluth.

According to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, the incident began on or around November 27th at a private residence on the city’s North end.

A woman was sexually assaulted and beaten. A man was kidnapped and taken to 413 Grant Avenue in Eveleth where he was held against his will and beaten for an extended period of time.

The victims eventually escaped and fled the city. They reported the incident on December first to the BCA, and they launched an investigation.

Both suspects are from Eveleth and are ages 29 and 37. They were arrested on probable cause criminal sexual conduct and kidnapping.

The investigation is active and ongoing. More information in expected to be released next week.
