‘Northern Lights Drone Show’ Wows Crowds Over Lake Superior, Winds Cancel Day 2

Saturday's shows were canceled because of strong winds

DULUTH, Minn. – Saturday night’s strong winds canceled the Northern Lights Drone Show outside Fitger’s. But Friday’s show amazed crowds of people.

The holiday show performed multiple times during the evening was put on by the North Shore Scenic Railroad and Fitger’s.

100 lighted drones took to the sky over Lake Superior forming animated scenes to music.

Firefly, which created the show, said the drones are computer and GPS controlled.

The show was timed for the railroad’s Christmas City Express train guests to enjoy.

On Saturday, the first show quickly came to an end when the strong winds started dropping the drones like flies, with some landed in the lake.
