BCA: Third Suspect Turns Himself In After Eveleth Kidnapping, Sexual Assault
DULUTH, Minn. — A third suspect is under arrest in connection to a kidnapping and assault in Eveleth that took place over multiple days.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension on Monday said the 38-year-old man is from Eveleth. He turned himself into the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office in Virginia Monday morning.
The other men under arrest are a 37-year-old and 29-year-old. Both are from Eveleth. The BCA said the crime unfolded on or around Nov. 27 at a private residence in the city’s north end.
A woman was sexually assaulted and beaten, and a man was kidnapped and taken to 413 Grant Avenue in Eveleth, which is home to the Hells Angels Motorcycle club.
Investigators say the man was beaten and held against his will for an “extended period of time.”
The victims eventually escaped and reported the crimes to the BCA on Dec. 1.
FOX 21 does not normally name suspects until they are formally charged by the St. Louis County Attorney’s Office, which is expected to happen sometime this week.
