Northwood Children’s Service Receives Support From RSM
DULUTH, Minn. — Northwood Children’s Services received a big check Tuesday, thanks to a generous donation from RSM Duluth.
It’s all part of the financial service’s Power of Love, nationwide fundraising initiative supporting youth in the areas of education, hunger, housing, and health.
They chose Northwood Children’s Services because the non-profit aligns perfectly with those areas. And along with the money, the RSM team also helped paint hallways and a gym, cleaned out 2 pull barns, and helped organize a rummage sale.
“Being in the communities that we are and really like 7-minute drive for me, right? I know there’s kids that are in my school district and families that are being supported by these groups. So, we’re just really happy to be able to come out and be a part of their group here,” said John Evans, assurance partner.
Northwood Children’s Service says the partnership between RSM has been great and that both of the organizations have learned a lot from each other.
“It was the energy, the discussions with them about what we do here, what they do at RSM and for you know a big company that’s world-wide to give back to us it just felt really good. And it will go back to the kids. That’s what’s great about you know we’re a small private non-profit,” said Larry Pajari, CEO of Northwood Children’s Services.
Northwood Children’s Services provides care, education, and treatment for children with severe emotional, behavioral, and learning disabilities. The $22,000 check will help towards youth with activities and Christmas gifts.
