Chester Bowl Ski and Snowboard Program Opens for the Season
Kids jump at the chance to be first up the chairlift and down the hill
DULUTH, Minn. — The wait is over! Duluth might not be a winter wonderland, but there was plenty of snow at Chester Bowl for the ski and snowboard season opener today.
The chairlift took up the first excited kids of the season. The volunteer-driven program offers families with an affordable ski hill in town. Chester Bowl provides a positive and safe environment for Duluthians to learn downhill winter sports.
“I love going here because it’s a very fun place to hang out with my friends, definitely,” Henry, a snowboarder, said. “Just to get down on the hill and just have fun.”
The hill will be open tomorrow and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and then again after Christmas.
