Chester Bowl Closed Tuesday; Waiting For End to Rain
The recreation area says it hopes to preserve the snow it has until temperatures drop and rain stops

The rain has forced a change in plans for Chester Bowl in Duluth. The ski hill was going to start its annual Holiday Ski and Snowboard lessons Tuesday.
But the endless rain has changed that, and the hill was closed.
Chester Bowl says it is disappointed to be closing, but felt that the best chance to preserve the snow they do have is to stay off of it. This will continue as long as the hill is saturated and the temperatures remain above freezing.
Dave Schaeffer, the Executive Director of the Chester Bowl Improvement Club, said that until the weather conditions improve, the hill may be closed for more than just Tuesday.
