Bentleyville “Tour of Lights” Tear Down Begins

DULUTH, Minn. — Volunteers gathered Wednesday to assist with day one of tearing down Bentleyville “Tour of Lights.”

Roughly 30 to 40 people came together to help tear down five million lights and many displays.

The no snow is actually helping the process move fast and efficiently, according to Mayor of Bentleyville Nathan Bentley. Further stating, they’re on track to finish cleanup, hopefully, by Sunday.

In addition, more volunteers came out to help out than in some years past. “We actually have a gentleman who drove all the way from North Dakota. Seven hours, he came down last night and was working on our firepits and stayed over to help us tear down today. So, it’s really great to see people coming from all over,” said Bentley.

Volunteers will be onsite tearing down and putting away everyday now through the weekend from 8:30 to 4 pm. You just have to show up between then.

Donuts, coffee, pop and water onsite. Lunch is also provided.
