50 Anglers Rescued From Ice On ‘Lake Of The Woods’
LAKE OF THE WOODS, Minn. — Another ice rescue has happened in the Northland — this time on the Lake of the Woods.
The Lake of the Woods Sheriff’s Office said around 50 anglers got trapped on ice that cracked open Monday afternoon.
Authorities used airboats and UTVs to rescue everybody.
Nobody was injured.
Superior Angling Company provided FOX 21 video of the rescue.
Meanwhile, a half hour earlier, a male on an ATV went through the ice about a mile off of Long Point on the Lake of the Woods.
The male was able to get out of the water with no injuries.
