Twin Ports Trailer Trash Offering Free Christmas Tree Removals

TWIN PORTS — Twin Ports Trailer Trash is once again offering their free Christmas tree removals.

This is their fifth annual holiday event. It is a free service where people can sign up to have their Christmas tree picked up from their curb. All trees will go back to WLSSD’s drop off sites.

Those in Duluth, Superior, Hermantown, and Proctor can all use the service for free. Crews will go to other towns for a small fee. The owner says they do this as a way to give back to the community.

“People really love it actually. The guys dress up as Grinch so, they get out of their truck, and it looks like their stealing the Christmas tree. The kids are in the windows laughing and it’s just an all-around fun time for everybody,” said Bernard McCarthy, owner of Twin Ports Trailer Trash.

The deadline to register to get your tree picked up is Thursday at noon. Twin Ports Trailer Trash asks trees to be left curbside without any lights or decorations.
