Coffee Conversation: Scholarship Deadlines Fast Approaching in the Northland
DULUTH, Minn. — Scholarship deadlines are fast approaching for students looking to get their hands on “free money.”
Marshall H. and Nellie Alworth Memorial Fund Executive Director Patty Salo Downs and Duluth Superior Community Area Foundation Community (DSCAF) Impact Specialist Amber Burns joined FOX21 on the morning newscast Tuesday to talk about $2 million in scholarships available to students in the northland region.
DSCAF has over 80 scholarships for students pursing careers in the trades, AA and BS, Master’s degrees including becoming a medical.
The Alworth Marshall H. and Nellie Alworth Memorial Fund (alworthscholarship.org) is focused on providing scholarships to high school seniors planning to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in math, science, medical and engineering fields of study.
The deadlines for submission are: Alworth – January 15 and DSACF – February 1.
