Candlelight Vigil Held For Cloquet Hotel Employee Killed By Shooter
CLOQUET, Minn. – Dozens of friends and family held a candlelight vigil Wednesday night outside the Super 8 in Cloquet where two people were killed Monday by a man with a gun.
The vigil was organized by the family of 22-year-old Shellby Trettel. Shellby was the young woman who worked at the front desk of the hotel for at least five years.
Shellby’s life was taken by the gunman while she was working at Super 8.
Shellby’s father, Tim Trettle, and her aunt spoke to the dozens of people who came out to the vigil.
There were a lot of heavy hearts there as they try to process what Shellby’s father calls “a senseless act of violence.”
