Duluth Man Arrested In Seizure Of 1K-Plus Fentanyl Pills, Multiple Firearms

DULUTH, Minn. –  Four firearms are more than 1,200 fentanyl pills are off the streets of Duluth after a successful arrest by the Lake Superior Violent Offender task Force.

The search warrant and arrest happened around 2 p.m. Tuesday on the 800 block of North 11th Avenue East.

A 21-year-old was arrested while in the process of delivering fentanyl pills and after a brief foot pursuit, according to police.

“During the execution of the search warrant, 1288 fentanyl pills were seized, along with a loaded Glock 17 9mm, Gen 4 with a 30-round extended magazine, a loaded Springfield Hellcat 9mm, a CZ shadow 9mm, a Pistol Frame Micro Conversion Kit for the Glock, and ammo,” Duluth police said in a news release.

The suspect was on probation for a gun charge in Wisconsin.

FOX 21 does not normally name suspects until they are formally charged by the St. Louis County Attorney’s Office.
