Stolen Vehicle Pursuit In Duluth Ends In 3-Vehicle Crash
DULUTH, Minn. – A suspect took St. Louis County deputies on a pursuit Wednesday that ended in a crash.
The incident happened around 3:30 p.m. on West Central Entrance.
In a news release, the Duluth Police Department said a pit maneuver was used on the vehicle by a deputy after using spike strips.
The vehicle eventually crashed and hit two vehicles.
The arrest was made after officials said the driver fled on foot. One of the drivers hit by the suspect received minor injuries.
The Duluth Police Department was the initial agency that attempted to pull over the stolen vehicle. But when the driver took off, officers “disengaged,” according to the department.
The department said, “…no attempts were made to stop the vehicle” when spotted in downtown Duluth before St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office got involved.
