Asuma, Perich, & Soumis Land On Minnesota Mr. Basketball Watch List

The three players were picked by a committee, who will now trim the list down to a top ten on February 26th.

DULUTH, Minn.- The Minnesota Mr. Basketball award is given out every year to the best boys high school basketball senior in the state.

On Monday, the watch list was released and the Northland was well represented with three potential winners.

Cherry’s Isaac Asuma, Esko’s Koi Perich, and Hermantown’s Abe Soumis all made the list of 35.

The three players were picked by a committee, who will now trim the list down to a top ten on February 26th.

That list goes down to a final five on March 17th and the winner will be announced the following week after that at the state basketball tournaments.
