UWS And Cenovus Energy Announce Partnership To Benefit The College And Athletics

SUPERIOR, Wis. — UWS and Cenovus Energy have announced a partnership that will benefit the college and its athletics.

The agreement comes with a 3-year term and totals $450,000.

A portion of the funds will go toward Superior Choice Credit Union Stadium and additional enhancements, such as a video board. Cenovus will also sponsor the Cenovus Energy Fan Zone which will be a pre-game environment on select game days. And more funds will be used to create the Cenovus Women in Leadership program, an annual event that will help develop the next generation of female leaders at UWS.

A junior athlete on the volleyball team says she truly appreciates the partnership.

“College athletics is the true vehicle that allows us to grow as individuals, become leaders, and pursue our true passions. My experience as a Yellow Jacket has been tremendous and I am beyond excited for how transformational this partnership will be,” said Jenna Anderson, UWS SAAC President.

Representatives from Cenovus Energy say they are proud to support the college.
