Jen Schultz Announces Congressional Campaign Against Incumbent Pete Stauber

Schultz Begins Fight to Flip 8th Congressional District

DULUTH, Minn. — Today, Democrat Jen Schultz launched her campaign for Minnesota’s 8th Congressional District.

Schultz is running against Republican incumbent Pete Stauber, who took office in 2019. In her speech today, Schultz emphasized achieving bipartisan results, as well as supporting the middle class, labor rights, and retirement security.

“The 8th is worth fighting for. America is worth fighting for,” Schultz said. “And the fight for our country, starts here in the 8th. If we want to change things, we have to fight to flip this district. It’s the easiest district to flip in Minnesota.”

Schultz has lived in Duluth for twenty years. She served in the State Legislature for eight years and currently teaches economics at the University of Minnesota Duluth.
