UMD Women’s Basketball Looks to Improve Postseason Seeding in Homestand
UMD will take on Minnesota Crookston and Bemidji State this weekend. Teams that they have a combined record of 38 and 3 against.
DULUTH, Minn.- This weekend might be a good chance to help the UMD women’s basketball team improve their seeding in the conference.
Currently the Bulldogs are 6th and are just a game back of cracking the top four.
UMD will take on Minnesota Crookston and Bemidji State this weekend. Teams that they have a combined record of 38 and 3 against.
Head Coach Mandy Pearson says their success against any team comes down to plenty of planning.
“We prepare the same way for every game. So it does not matter if we’re playing the number one team in the country or we are playing a division three school in an exhibition game at the beginning of the year. I’m not downplaying division three basketball but we need to make sure that we’re focused for every single game. That we’re preparing the same way. That we’re coming out with the same exact energy. That’s our number one focus everytime that we’re preparing for any opponent,” said Pearson.
The Bulldogs and Golden Eagles tip things off at 5:30 on Friday.
