2024 Gunflint Mail Run Sled Dog Race Canceled
GRAND MARAIS, Minn. — An annual sled dog race in northern Minnesota has been canceled.
The 2024 Gunflint Mail Run Sled Dog Race had already been postponed from January 6th to February 10th. But due to lack of snow and above average temps for the near future the board of directors made the tough decision.
According to the website, they say, “we felt we had no choice but to cancel the race out of consideration for the care and safety of the teams.”
The 2025 race date will be announced on their website.
