Man Charged In West Duluth Apartment Stabbing

DULUTH, Minn. – A Duluth man is facing two felony charges involving a stabbing case in West Duluth.

The suspect is 44-year-old Charles Knauer.

The stabbing happened around 2:15 a.m. Feb. 1 in an apartment building in the 6700 block of Redruth Street.

Duluth police said the victim and suspect were in an altercation prior to the stabbing.

The criminal complaint says Knauer’s blood-alcohol level at the time was three times the legal limit at .25.

The victim’s wounds included a 3″-to-4″ laceration on the upper right bicep and a stab wound to the right triceps, according to the complaint.

The victims has since been treated and release from the hospital.
