Girls Hockey: Mirage & C-E-C Secure Spots in 7A Semifinals

The Lumberjacks and Mirage will drop the puck at 11 AM on Saturday in Proctor.

HERMANTOWN, Minn.- It was officially playoff time for local girls hockey teams as the Section 7A tournament began on Tuesday.

In Hermantown, The Mirage would outshoot North Shore 67 to 6 and defeat the Storm 5-1 to advance to the semifinals on Saturday.

They’ll meet Cloquet-Esko-Carlton, who defeated Hibbing/Chisholm 4 to 2 in another quarterfinal contest.

The Lumberjacks and Mirage will drop the puck at 11 AM on Saturday in Proctor.

In other 7A action, Moose Lake Area would shutout Rock Ridge, 1-0.

They’ll play Duluth Marshall in a semifinal matchup at 2 PM on Saturday in Proctor.
