Duluth Showdown Between Marshall, Denfeld Ends in Tie
Hunters snap three-game losing streak
DULUTH, Minn- After losing their last three games, the Duluth Denfeld boys hockey team ended their home schedule with a 2-2 tie against Duluth Marshall.
Denfeld scored the first two goals of the game in the second period (goals scored by Cory Backstrum and Nolan Harju). Marshall’s Max Berriford put the Hilltoppers on the board before the end of the second period before Pacey Adduono scored 18 seconds into the third.
This marks the first time their last six head-to-head matchups Denfeld didn’t defeat Marshall. The Hunters (10-12-2) wrap up their regular season on Thursday next week at Greenway. Marshall (14-8-2) returns to the Heritage Center on Tuesday in their season finale against Duluth East.
