Port Wing’s Megan Gustafson to Play in Summer Olympics for Spain

Qualified for summer games in win over Hungary

PORT WING, Wis.- South Shore High School Graduate Megan Gustafson will add to her already impressive resume when she plays in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

Gustafson will represent Spain on their women’s basketball team. She and the Spanish National Team qualified for the Summer Games on Sunday when they defeated Hungary 73-72. Gustafson scored 12 points, including two three-pointers.

The former Iowa Hawkeye and current WNBA player applied for Spanish citizenship in June of 2023. Before the Olympics, Gustafson will suit up for her new team, the Las Vegas Aces, for the start of the 2024 WNBA season.
