DULUTH, Minn.- A Duluth curler is up for a prestigious award.
Corey Thiesse has been named a semi-finalist for the 94th AAU James E. Sullivan Award.
The award has been presented annually to the most outstanding athlete at the collegiate, Olympic, or other similar elite level in the United States.
Last year, Thiesse won the U.S. Women’s National Championship with Team Peterson and the U.S. Mixed Doubles National Championship with her partner, Korey Dropkin.
The six finalists will be announced on February 21st.
