Greyhounds snap six-game losing streak
PROCTOR, Minn.- The Proctor girls basketball team has been full steam ahead in the weeks leading up to the playoffs, winning their fifth straight game on Thursday night.
The Rails defeated Chisholm 78-28, setting their new team high for points scored in a game this season. This win puts Proctor at 19-5 overall with two games left in the regular season. Meanwhile, Chisholm (17-7) will have a pair of tough games on the road next week, facing both Rock Ridge and Mountain Iron-Buhl.
In a major rivalry game, the Duluth East boys defeated Duluth Denfeld 70-64 in double overtime. This marks the 11th straight time the Greyhounds have defeated the Hunters, who are still without leading scorers Marnaries Ferguson and Aiden Altona. Duluth East (7-14) will stay on their home court on Saturday when they host Mount Westonka while Denfeld (11-11) will look to get back over the .500 mark on Friday against Rock Ridge.
