BIWABIK, Minn.- The Duluth East girls skiing team would claim gold on the final day of the state tournament.
In the team sprint, the Greyhounds would finish 1st with a time of 13:43:60. Anna-Britta Helmer and Greta Hendrickson would lead the team.
East would have a total score of 371 to claim the state title as a team.
On the boys side in team sprint, Duluth East would place 2nd with a 12:06:89. Ely was just behind him at 5th as they had a time of 12:15:03.
East took 2nd overall at state with a score of 362.
On Wednesday, Lydia Kraker had a top 5 finish in the classic and freestyle pursuit race.
James Kyes finished 9th overall for the boys in the classic and freestyle pursuit races.
