Lindaman & Reyelts Named Finalists for Top Minnesota Hockey Awards
Both award winners will be announced a day after their state tournaments conclude.
DULUTH, Minn.- Duluth Marshall senior Ilsa Lindaman is just days away from possibly being named Ms. Hockey Minnesota.
Late last week, she was named one of the five finalists for the award.
Lindaman ended her season ranked 2nd in goals scored with 57 and she was also 2nd in overall points with 86.
Lindaman helped lead the Hilltoppers to the Section 7A title game where they fell to Proctor/Hermantown.
The award winner will be announced on Sunday at the Ms. Hockey Banquet in St. Paul.
Speaking of award finalists, Proctor’s AJ Reyelts has been named one of the three goaltenders up for the Frank Brimsek Award.
The award goes to the best senior goaltender in the state of Minnesota.
So far this season, Reyelts has posted a 14-4 record with a goals against average of 1.49 and a saves percentage of .950. He’s also recorded three shutouts in net.
Reyelts and the Rails will look to extend their season on Saturday when they take on Hermantown in the Section 7A semifinals.
The award winner will be announced at the Brimsek Award Banquet on March 10th, which is the day after the boys state tournament.
