Superior’s Boulder Tap House To Open Wednesday
SUPERIOR, Wis. — Goodbye, Grizzly’s. Hello, Boulder Tap House.
The countdown is on for the newest member of the Twin Ports dining scene.
Finishing touches and staff training continue as Wednesday’s opening gets closer.
On Tower Avenue in Superior, Boulder will sit – literally — on the site of the old Grizzly’s. That long-time favorite had been remodeled five times, and it was time for a fresh start, according to manager partner Rick Lampton.
Lampton, who oversaw Grizzly’s since 1994, aid he’s excited for loyal customers to begin generating new memories at a new gathering place.
“For Superior in general, there’s nothing even close to it. This is a big-city restaurant type place. Even in Duluth, there’s very few that will even come close. So, people are going to love it. They’re going to come from outskirts of Wisconsin, Duluth, Cloquet, all those areas. They’re going to want to come here,” Lampton said.
Lampton said people are going to want the egg rolls, wings, and burgers, and their well-known cheese curds that are almost as big as a golf ball.
This will be the tenth Tap House in the Boulder family.
