UMD Men’s Hockey Hits Road for Rematch with Colorado College
The Bulldogs have taken three of their last five against the Tigers.
DULUTH, Minn.- The UMD men’s hockey team is looking to put the month of February in the past and snap a six game losing streak this weekend in Colorado.
The Bulldogs and Tigers last met in January in Duluth, with each team picking up a 3-2 victory for the split.
Head Coach Scott Sandelin says Colorado College is a much better team since their first meeting with them and added that his squad has to match their speed this upcoming weekend.
“They play north quick, they transition quick, they get on pucks quick, they pressure you into turnovers so they can transition. They were good at that here and they make it difficult to get in the neutral zone. They play a little different neutral zone system so you’re going through sometimes four guys. There’s a wall of four but it’s not like they’re standing there all the time, they’re aggressive,” said Sandelin.
The Bulldogs have taken three of their last five against the Tigers. The series starts at 8 PM on Friday.
