UWS Guard Elise Besonen Named UMAC Player of the Year, Four Yellowjackets Honored By Conference

Besonen averaged a team best 14.8 points-per-game.

SUPERIOR, Wis.- The UMAC end of the year awards were announced on Wednesday afternoon.

Taking home the top honor in the conference was UWS junior guard Elise Besonen as she was named UMAC Player of the Year.

Besonen averaged a team best 14.8 points-per-game. She also landed on the first team.

Besonen wasn’t the only Yellowjacket honored by the UMAC. Erika Mattson landed on the 2nd team. Charlotte Ferstl was named an honorable mention. Lastly, MyKenzie Leccia was named to the Defensive team.
