DULUTH, Minn. — Renegade Comedy at Zeitgeist Teatro is making some ‘exciting’ changes and introducing new shows, all in an effort to make Duluthians laugh.

Renegade just open their kid’s comedy show, The Sloppy Joe Adventure Crew, which they call ‘ a mystery for the whole family.’ This Friday, they’re starting introducing Renegade Game Night, an improv game show that will get the audience involved. In addition, they’re moving their Friday Late Night Improv shows to ‘not so late.’ Managing Director Robert Lee says the move up to 10 p.m. and the new programming is all to make Renegade more approachable and inviting.

“I think Renegade is such a unique gift for this community,” Lee said. “You can see comedy here every week and it’s been around longer than I have, it’s a institution. I’m honored to be a part of the team and lead the team now. Hundreds of comedians have come through this space and moved on to other cities. And a lot of them have stayed and we’re still funny, we think.”

Renegade also offers improv classes for those who would like to try their hand at comedy. This summer the club will be adding improv classes for kids as well.
