Minnesota Voters Part of Super Tuesday

Wisconsin's turn does not come until April.
Primary Election

It’s a long way until November, but March and Minnesota are not taking election-year back seats.

Minnesota voters were among those heading to the polls Tuesday for the primary.

Wisconsin’s primary is not until April.

Duluth residents were among those filling out their ballot Tuesday.

Unique to primaries, voters need to pick a party–just one party–and then pick one candidate from that party’s ballot.

In Minnesota and across the nation, it is the biggest primary day of the campaign for President Joe Biden and Republican Donald Trump.

Wins would bring them to the brink of winning their party’s presidential nominations and setting up a historic rematch.

Hundreds of delegates are at stake as voting goes on in 16 states and one territory. Many voters Tuesday expressed concerns about both candidates’ age. Biden is 81 years old. Trump is 77.

Trump on Tuesday called Biden the worst president in history. Biden warned Black Americans specifically that returning Trump to the White House would be dangerous.
