Wild State Cider Serves Up Vermont-Style Ice Cream
Camp Creemee introduces a rotating menu of soft serve flavors to pair with cider -- or just enjoy!

DULUTH, Minn. — With spring and warm weather just around the corner, Camp Creemee says its the perfect time to enjoy their soft serve ice cream.
Camp Creemee, located in Wild State Cider, specializes in Vermont-style soft serve or ‘creemees.’ They offer a classic salted maple syrup flavor year-round, as well as monthly special flavors. Throughout March, they’re offering ‘Shamrock Creemee’ or vanilla and mint soft serve with a cherry on top. Creemees have been on the menu for almost as long as Wild State has been open and have become a staple item for visitors, according to Taproom Operations Coordinator Tom Fondow.
“A lot of people come in just for the creemees,” Fondow said. “A lot of times we’ll see a carload of hockey kids or parents coming in with a bunch of kids, we know its probably going to be for ice cream. And something for the adult too, but normally its just the ice cream that they’re coming in for.”
Next Friday, Wild State Cider is launching a Blueberry Maple cider, which Fondow says will pair nicely with the maple creemee. He added they’ve even have requests for creemee floats or putting creemee in a cider. Whether you’re interested in the ice cream or the cider, Wild State says they’ve got the best of both.
