Family Freedom Center: Suspicious Person ‘Brandished’ Firearm To Teen

DULUTH, Minn. — Duluth police are investigating after a person “brandished” a firearm near a playground of an after-school program.

The Family Freedom Center said a “suspicious” person approached one of its teens with the firearm while outside with the Center’s dog.

The incident happened around 2:45 p.m. March 7 on the 300-block of N. First Avenue West.  That address is where the Washington Center is located, which is where FFC operates out of.

The Center said the teen ran inside to notify staff.

Police were called.

The Center went on lockdown for an hour.

The suspect was never located, according to police.

Nobody was injured.
