Mountain Iron-Buhl Girls Basketball Ready to Defend Class A State Title

In their lone regular season matchup against the Wolves, it was all Rangers as they came away with the 76 to 39 victory.

MOUNTAIN IRON, Minn.- In just two days, the Mountain Iron-Buhl girls basketball team will tip things off against Walker-Hackensack-Akeley in the Class A quarterfinals.

In their lone regular season matchup against the Wolves, it was all Rangers as they came away with the 76 to 39 victory.

Head Coach Jeff Buffetta though knows that their opponent has improved and so did the rest of the bracket.

“The field is going to be top notch this year. There’s a lot of great Class A teams. It’s going to take excellent basketball like we played today (last Friday). Just have to build on this and be consistent,” said Buffetta.

Tip-off is at 3 PM on Thursday on the campus of the University of Minnesota.
