Duluth Police Ask For Help Finding Taco John’s Armed Robbery Suspect

Robbery happened last weekend at West Duluth location.

UPDATE (March 15, 10:05 a.m.) — Duluth Police are now asking for the public’s help in finding the suspect involved in Sunday’s robbery at a Taco John’s in West Duluth.

A description says the individual was wearing dark clothing, a dark winter coat with black fur around the hood, a mask, and sunglasses.

Police say they did stop someone who matched the description, but later determined it was not the suspect in the robbery.

No injuries were reported during the incident and an undisclosed amount of cash was taken.

The restaurant is located at 4601 Grand Avenue.

DULUTH, Minn. – FOX 21 has learned about a weekend armed robbery at the Taco John’s in West Duluth.

After FOX 21 inquired about the incident, the Duluth Police Department confirmed officers responded to a report of a robbery around 8:40 p.m. Sunday at the Taco John’s on the 4600-block of Grand Avenue.

Investigators said the person demanded money and brandished a firearm.

The suspect took off with cash before police arrived.

Nobody was injured.

The police department did not provide a description of the suspect or whether they are female or male.
