Duluth Man Arrested, Pending Charges of Murder After Woman’s Body is Found

DULUTH, Minn. —  According to the Duluth Police Department a Duluth man has been arrested for pending charges of Murder in the 2nd Degree and Violation of a Domestic Abuse No Contact Order (DANCO).

Officers responded to a report of a dead body on E 5th St around 8 a.m., Friday, March 22. Upon arrival, officers located a deceased 27-year-old female.

Initial investigation shows the man and the victim were known to each other. The man had an active DANCO and he was previously arrested for Domestic Assault.

The female was transported to Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy and her name won’t be released until the next of kin is notified. It remains an active and ongoing investigation.
