Wayne State Spoils Home Opener for UMD Baseball Team with Doubleheader Sweep

UMD will once again face Wayne State in a doubleheader on Saturday.

DULUTH, Minn,- After 25 games on the road, the UMD baseball team would finally have their home opener on Friday, hosting Wayne State in a doubleheader.

Unfortunately, the Wildcats would take both games by a final of 6 to 0 and 4 to 3.

In the bottom of the 9th of game two, UMD would strand the game-tying run at 3rd base.

UMD (8-19) will once again face Wayne State in a doubleheader on Saturday. Except, the games will take place at Superior High School. First pitch of game one is at noon.
