BE Design Celebrates New Location in the Lincoln Park Craft District

DULUTH, Minn. — A new alterations, sewing, and upholstery business had its grand opening in Duluth Friday.

BE Design is now in the heart of Lincoln Park’s Craft District. The business was founded in 2021 originally operating out of a house. They do everything from clothing alterations and patch work to bigger upholstery projects and are all about community and sustainability. If you have any ideas that you’d like designed, they do custom work as well.

The owners are well known to this area of work.

“My wife had her own shop back in Thailand for fashion and garments that she had her own brand in Thailand before she came here. So, that’s what made us go into the clothing, sewing realm,” said Bernard, along with Emee Kostrzab, owners of BE Design.

BE Design is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. They have a Facebook page and will have a website soon.
